Even though Bulgaria joined the EC on the 1st of January 2007, the restriction on non-Bulgarian nationals owning land remains in force, until 2012. To overcome this you will still need to establish a limited company.
This is a very straightforward and simple process and we will complete the documentation with you.
You will need to open a bank account and deposit 5000 Bulgarian Leva (around 2500 Euro).
This money is required to show the new Company has Start up Capital - it will stay in the account until the company is established and then you can withdraw the money.
You will need to submit yearly accounts, but as the company doesn't actually trade then the accounts will be simple and for an annual fee, we can recommend accountants to provide this service.
This can all be carried out without the need for you to visit Bulgaria
SETTING UP YOUR COMPANY FROM THE UK
All documents will be posted / emailed to you - they will have been translated into English first
You will need to take these to your lawyer to sign and stamp
These are then sent to the Foreign Office for an Apostille (This is to verify the status of the lawyer)
Once they have been stamped, you will return these to us by COURIER / REGISTERED POST
These will then be translated back into Bulgarian - they are not a legal document if in a 'foreign' language
You will also need to have a Power of Attorney for someone in Bulgaria to do all the above on your behalf
This can be done as per above (translated into English, Apostilled etc) - this way is much easier - OR:
This document will be sent to you in Bulgarian language
Check the Bulgarian Embassy for a translator in your area
He will stamp and sign that you understand the document
Take this to the Bulgarian Embassy in London, they will also stamp it
Please note, we do not have control over these services in the UK and are thus unable to quote costs for such
